It varies, depending on size, among other things. Tiny dolls or plain heads (no body) can go for around $200, give or take, while larger and limited edition dolls can go up to $1000.

Mine, being in the tall end of the spectrum, cost around $600-$700 apiece.

Because I like them. They bring out a lot of creativity in me and are surprisingly helpful in character development. And my inner fashion designer just adores models who don't talk back.

Most companies sell everything that goes with their dolls, and most everything is interchangeable within doll sizes. A lot of the clothes I make myself. There are also tons of people who do commission work on DoA.

I hope you're kidding.

"Your doll looks like So-and-so from my story!"

Um no. My doll looks like MY So-and-so from MY story. Each doll already has a story and a personality, which means anything you come up with is most likely NOT what's going on with them. Unless they are in cosplay (which almost-never happens outside of Halloween), they have a very defined persona. I also do not care how much of a Sue/Stu you think they are.

"Can I draw So-and-so?"

In the Rogue-verse, people of western culture (those from Aranel and Olyr) are given the name of their parent as a middle name. Girls take their mothers' names, and boys take their fathers' names. Deniella and Malakai are special cases, as Deniella has no mother, and Malakai is of eastern descent.
